Stuart Godfree

Stuart Godfree co-founded mkodo with Sue Yoxall in May 2001, seizing the opportunity to provide an innovative technology based service in a rapidly emerging market.
Godfree has an excellent track record within the IT industry where he began his career as an Applications and then Systems Engineer. In 1994 he joined Sun Microsystems as Senior Solutions Architect; during his six years with Sun he led a number of prestigious and significant projects for blue chip client organisations including PwC, Daimler Chrysler and The Economist. He spent the two years prior to setting up mkodo working directly in the wireless solutions industry. In May 2008 he was eelected to the board of the Mobile Data Association (MDA) as the Director for Consumer Experiences.
Godfree believes the customer should be at the centre of every organisation and he has made this his blueprint for mkodo. The company is, he says, making great progress as a highly reactive, customer- focused business, which delivers broad, functionally rich applications that customers enjoy using - and that deliver results.
Godfree grew up in the South of England and gained his qualifications in electrical and electronic engineering at Guildford College of Technology and Kingston University. As an enthusiastic racing yachtsman, he can be found competing at Cowes, the Solent Winter and Spring series and various RORC yacht races through out the year with the occasional cruising weekend slipped in. He is currently working towards his 'Yachtmaster' certificate.
