SMS voting for the Young Leader elections powered by mkodo
The mkodo Intelligent Mobile Platform has powered the SMS vote in Northumberland County Council's elections for a Young Leader for two successive years.
In a move to make the voting mechanic more convenient and attractive to young people, the council successfully launced SMS voting in 2006. Integrity of the vote was an essential requirement for this project. The mkodo IMP ensures that the voting rules are correctly implemented and that the data is kept secure.
The user friendly mkodo web interface allowed the Council to monitor the election results in real time.
