Mobile Marketing Success at Ideal Shopping Direct via the mkodo IMP

January 2006: Following successful mobile marketing implementation in 2005, multi-channel TV shopping operator Ideal Shopping Direct is to continue to work with mkodo, the mobile services specialist in 2006.

After receiving high volumes of text message responses for on air competitions run during 2005, Ideal Shopping decided to trial mobile marketing campaigns to drive viewers to their channels. With over 4 years experience in provision of mobile solutions to the broadcast media and retail sectors, mkodo with its Intelligent Mobile Platform (IMP) was well placed to provide these services.

During 2005 mkodo successfully managed premium rate on air competitions for Ideal Shopping Direct.

The CRM functionality of the mkodo IMP enables additional information such as customer number and competition entry patterns to be stored and used for segmented SMS broadcasts. The Ideal World channel used this functionality during outbound SMS campaigns promoting events and special offers to existing customers; more campaigns are planned for early 2006.
