mkodo Showcases Latest Product at IDMF Show

January 2004: mkodo IMP Version 4 Officially Launched at the International Direct Marketing Fair, Stand No 247, Earls Court 2, March 2-4 2004
mkodo, the interactive mobile messaging specialist, today announces the launch of its latest product enhancement, mkodo Intelligent Mobile Platform (IMP) Version 4.
The product, which enables marketers to develop and manage mobile marketing and commerce services from their own desktops, will be officially launched at the International Direct Marketing Fair in March the ideal forum to demonstrate the benefits of mobile messaging to marketers. This is the third Reed Exhibition Direct Marketing Show that mkodo has supported with a mobile messaging campaign. The activity at IDMF 2003 saw over 50% of attendees engaged successfully in reminder message, at-event voting or post-event surveys.
To showcase the new IMP, mkodo will be providing mobile messaging services to visitors on behalf of show organisers, Reed Exhibitions. Visitors to the show can choose in advance to opt-in for a series of personalised mobile alerts. The mobile alerts will initially prompt those registered that the show date is coming up via a text message to their mobile phone. When at the show, those opted-in will be reminded of show seminars about to take place via their phone. Post event a mobile survey will be conducted to obtain visitor feedback to rank views and satisfaction levels of the show.
Alexia Maycock, Marketing Manager, Reed Exhibitions said: We had 10,700 visitors at the show last year. Using the mkodo system thousands of people can be updated with information in an instant. The feedback we had from attendees was very powerful information for use when planning this years event.
The mobile marketing of IDMF demonstrates the ease of use of the mkodo IMP and the range of services and enhanced features in Version 4. Customer feedback has been the key driver for the released functionality. New data processing capabilities have been introduced, for example, that allow manual or automated on-the-fly selection of database members and campaign respondents based upon any known criteria. This enables segmentation and micro management of target recipients, for example by age, residential location, or specific personal preferences such as favourite football team. Usability enhancements include provision of real time graphing that enables users to obtain an instant visual illustration of the delivery and response of the campaign at their desktop.
Sue Parker, executive director at mkodo said, The mkodo IMP Version 4 fine-tunes previous capabilities, providing greater opportunities for mobile to become a powerful part of digital marketing campaigns. IDMF is a great way to demonstrate to marketers the ease and benefits of the service. The new features make the service simpler to use yet even more effective as a tool to drive loyalty and brand awareness in any sector.
