Telescope Inc. selects mkodo's platform for mobile services
August 2006; mkodo announces the selection of its industry leading Intelligent Mobile Platform (IMP) by Telescope Inc. for fulfillment of their mobile activities in the USA.
Telescope Inc., headquartered in Los Angeles, USA, is the leader in mobile and interactive TV solutions with the largest phone voting system in the world.
Telescope provides toll-free, wireless and Internet-based interactivity solutions, including mass-scale television voting applications, SMS-based marketing and content programs, and mobile game and application development for media and corporate clients.
One of their most recent success stories has been for Optimistic Media's "PlayMania," the USA's first live participation television show running on GSN, the major network owned by Sony and Liberty Media. Hosted by Mel Peachey (host of the UK's "QuizNation") and Shandi Finnessey (co-host of "Lingo"), "Playmania" premiered in April and has seen impressive growth in the amount of viewers sending text and web messages each night. This activity is jointly powered by the mkodo IMP and Phoenix, Optimistic's proprietary business management platform.
The mkodo IMP is ideally positioned to meet the high standards sought by Telescope. Developed by an in-house team of specialist engineers, its capabilities have been honed through successful use in thousands of pan-European and North American mobile channel activities over a five year period. It provides a robust, proven platform for all levels of mobile communication, from simple SMS marketing broadcasts, to intricate interactive SMS to WAP to MMS campaigns, to high-capacity participation media services.
The Telescope team will use the IMP in self-service mode which means they can utilize their in-house expertise and creativity to provide their clients with robust and innovative interactive mobile solutions in very quick turnaround times.
Troy Sample, CEO Telescope Inc, says 'The mkodo IMP merits its reputation as the 'best in breed' mobile enablement platform available in the global market. Its off-the-shelf capabilities, combined with the commitment of the mkodo team to accommodate some of our non standard specifications, met our exacting requirements for rapid creation of high quality services and enable Telescope to be self-sufficient in our mobile services provision. Both the Telescope and mkodo team understand the importance of excellent customer service; this has been vital to our successful implementation of the high profile services created to date.'
mkodo executive director, Sue Parker, comments, "We are delighted to be working with market leaders such as Telescope and Optimistic who will make full use of the IMP's extensive functionality and push its capabilities into new territory as their client requirements and creative mobile campaigns grow."
