UK@3GSM: UKTI uses mobile to promote UK businesses at 3GSM
February 2005: The UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), the government organisation that helps international businesses realise their potential, is using a text service provided by mkodo, the interactive mobile messaging specialist, to provide information on UK businesses attending the 3GSM Word Congress 05 in Cannes, France.
A simple way to connect to UK businesses flyer is being distributed by UK@3GSM requesting interested parties to text in a keyword associated with their area of interest (Applications and Content Providers, Infrastructure, Technical Providers or Technical Devices) and receive a corresponding list of UK companies attending the 3 day annual event. The campaign is now live and will run till the end of March 2005. mkodo have previously supported UKTI with use of the mobile channel for its in-show communications at the CTIA 2004 conference in San Francisco.
