About the Role
The Business Analyst Engineer role plays a vital role as a liaison among the customer, scrum team, and commercial teams. You will gather and interpret requirements coming from clients and translate them into technical requirements.
Main Responsibilities
• Requirement engineering: Elicit, analyse, and prioritise business requirements using various techniques such as interviews, workshop and document analysis. Translate business requirements into clear and concise technical functional specifications. Own the requirements.
• Agile/Scrum Methodology: Work within agile development frameworks such as Scrum, collaborating with product owners, developers, and testers to ensure efficient and iterative delivery of software solutions. Organise and Drive Backlog refinement session. Participate in sprint planning and sprint reviews.
• Technical documentation: Support the technical solution being delivered, with the Technical Lead who will own the overall technical implementation. Ensure solution is documented and requirements captured during scoping and delivery phases.
• Business Case Development: Assess and evaluate existing client and highlight and raise commercial opportunities or deviation from agreed scope. Contribute to business cases and proposals, outlining the anticipated scope and costs.
• User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) Design: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. Provide input on wireframes, mock-ups, and usability testing to enhance user experience.
• Education and training: Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and training materials, to facilitate effective communication and knowledge transfer. This includes software demonstrations to internal teams and clients.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, department heads, and technology teams.
